Scent of a Woman, 1992 ***
It is said that Pacino won an Oscar for his portrayal of Lt. Col. Frank Slade retired and blind in this movie, does not honor to excellent career. That the film is the pile, which also is a remake of "Scent of a Woman" (Dino Risi, 1974) and sends a message corny and conventional. I add that every time I see her enjoy it as a dwarf. Ah, the counterpoint to the old curmudgeon is a wonderful young actor, Chris O'Donnell, who plays the honest student Charlie Simms. The emotional final speech of the military falls short of pronouncing Pacino at the conclusion of " Justice for All" (1979).
